Walking As Children of God

What’s your favorite form of identification: driver’s license, passport, work ID, school ID, police badge, club member, AARP, VIP pass, other? Today’s text centers on our newfound identity. In the greatest display of the Father’s love, WE are called “children of God!” Just as a normal ID comes with its privileges (e.g., driving, discount shopping, access, etc.), being “children of God” means that (1) the world does not know us; (2) we will be like Him when He appears; (3) we will see Him as He is; (4) we no longer make it a practice of sinning; (5) we are born of God; and (6) we practice righteousness.
