Walking in His Light

What did John hear in Jesus’ presence? God is light and in Him is no darkness at all! To know God in Christ is to walk in His light, and for us to walk in His very light means that we have (1) fellowship with one another; and (2) the total, blood-washed cleansing of our sins and His continued advocacy before our Father in heaven! The path isn’t always smooth. Even the first-century church saw its fellowship disrupted by hypocrisy, greed, selfishness, and spiritual opposition, but our path is clearly lit and we walk in close proximity with fellow believers the entire way.
