Climbing God’s Mountain
There’s a massive difference in life between simply knowing of God or knowing about God…and actually knowing God. Our greatest offense against the evil one to break free and live from our freedom in Christ is to know God deeply, closely, and richly; to gaze upon His glory; to be captivated by who He is; to bask in His goodness; to focus firmly on Jesus. To know Jesus more, He invites us “to climb His mountain” and linger with Him in word, in supper, and in prayer. Jesus wants to move us above the treeline of just knowing facts and information about Jesus…to intimate knowledge of Him where we can explore His grace, His love, His nature, His attributes, His mercy, His holiness, etc. And here’s the thing: as with any mountain, the higher we climb His mountain, the grandeur the view!
