Break Me
More often than not, I think it’s safe to say that our prayers focus on safety, blessing, comfort, health, and protection. Who wants hardship? Who wants struggle? However, we are most pliable to God when we are emptied of ourselves, when He breaks our pride, our self-confidence, our strength, and our self-sufficiency. Paul realized when God had broken him that his real strength was in the Lord, that God was his sufficiency, that God uses brokenness to sharpen character, deepen faith, and increase intimacy with Jesus.
