Finding Your Spiritual Gifts
“Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.” 1 Corinthians 12:1
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
God has given each of us natural abilities and spiritual gifts for use in His service, as we love and serve our neighbors. Our serving is both more effective and more rewarding when we serve in areas that use our unique gifts.
The two ways to discover your spiritual gifts, and both are important.
First, see what the Bible has to say about spiritual gifts and take a spiritual gift assessment tool. Contact Karen Kogler for Bible study materials and a simple spiritual gifts assessment tool.
Second, start serving! Serve in different ways; try new things. Through your own experiences, plus feedback from other followers of Jesus, God will help you discover your gifts and show you where he is calling you to use them.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
