Our Two-Minute Drill

1 Thessalonians is a book that has a lot in common with football’s two- minute warning. In it, Paul repeatedly says that world history is almost over (1:10; 2:19; 3:13; 4:13–18; 5:1–10). Time is short. We must prepare and implement our two-minute drill. What does this look like for Christians? In our text, Paul teaches us to: (1) rest in grace; (2) witness to others; (3) turn from any idols; and (4) wait patiently for Christ. When time is short, we are compelled to focus on what truly matters most!
