Choose Church

As we look at Jesus’ life, Luke says, “Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple.” Jesus chose church and gathered with people daily around His word. Why is choosing church so important for us? What benefit does it provide? Church offers the Power of Consistency and the importance of Good News. In Acts 2 (Luke Part II), we see believers consistently gathering together - and great things happen as a result! In the Creed we also confess: “I believe in the holy Christian church, the communion of saints.” Commitment to weekly gatherings around Jesus’ word and table is what we do as His disciples. Can we really love Jesus without also choosing church? Church, after all, is where the greatest news of all - Christ for us - is proclaimed.
