In a way, this dangerous prayer encapsules the previous six. God’s growth includes searching, leading, teaching, breaking, sending, and transforming. Peter’s last word to the church on earth is to “grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.” The disciples also pray: “Increase our faith.” This prayer (like the others) is not one-and-done, but a lifestyle of daily Christiain nourishment! What we feed grows, and what we starve dies. Hence, this dangerous prayer commits to daily, prioritized, intentional time with Jesus - His Word, in His presence praying, at His table, in fellowship with His body, etc.
