Protection Screening Nights

Screening Event Web Picture2 - 2015

Need Protection Screening?

Do it all in one night!

You will be able to complete the protection application, be interviewed by a Protection Screening Team member, and watch the Protection Screening Training Class video.  You can do any one or all of these steps of the screening process.  Bring the names and contact info of three references for the application.

What is Protection Ministry?

Because the open, trusting atmosphere of a church can make it a target for potential abusers, we have adopted protection practices recommended by insurance, risk management and volunteerism experts. The process and other protection policies are detailed at Full Life in Christ.org/Get Involved/Protection Minsitry.

Our purpose is to:

  • Protect our children, youth and vulnerable adults from harm
  • Protect our volunteer workers and staff from unfounded allegations
  • Protect our entire ministry by reducing our legal liabilities.

Who needs to be screened?

Anyone serving with children, youth or vulnerable adults needs to complete the protection screening process before serving.  This includes parents who volunteer with reading groups, help with holiday parties or any other volunteering opportunity that puts them in contact with children, youth or vulnerable adults at St. Peter Church and School.

What if I need to be screened but cannot attend the event?

No problem.  You can complete the process on your own time.  Visit FullLifeinChrist.org/Get Involved/Protection Screening to download the application, watch the video and get instructions on scheduling your interview.

To RSVP and to reserve a time for the interview, contact Isabel Peterson at 224-387-3857 or ipeterson@FullLifeinChrist.org.
