Faith Forum – Wednesday Nights

Rev. Chad Foster

On Wednesday, August 29, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm we will host the first of three Faith Forums, featuring Rev. Chad Foster, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murray, Kentucky (learn more), whose life as both a Lutheran and a Jew is simply fascinating to observe!

He will focus on these points:
1. Introduce myself and my walk as a Jewish Lutheran and briefly talk about the Messianic ministry at Immanuel

2. Give three examples from the Bible that demonstrate how a Hebraic roots perspective adds to the depth of meaning

3. Give a myth buster about what most Christians believe about Jews and share a myth most Jews have about Christians. This is designed to help the people better relate to their Jewish neighbors and to drop stereotypes.

4. A few tips on how to reach out to one’s Jewish neighbor or friend and I’ll share some of my experiences with rabbis from Jerusalem.

Pastor Hicham Chebab

The next two Faith Forums will feature Rev. Hicham Chebab, pastor of Salam Arabic Fellowship in Lombard (learn more), in which he will share his own story of conversion from Islam to Christianity (Sept. 5) and facilitating the video, “The Road to 9/11: The Rise of Radical Islam” (Sept. 12).
