Keynote Speaker: Dr. Lamb, retired Executive Director for Lutherans for Life
“The Other End of Life” will address what death means in our society and how we as Christians can respond from Scripture to our culture’s view.
The workshop will also include the following speakers: Judy Baran is a nurse who has used her Spiritual gifts of encouragement and mercy throughout her career in home health, parish nursing and hospice ministries. She approaches her work holistically, focusing on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the individual. She will speak on the practical medical issues of end of life decisions such as hospice and DNR (do not resuscitate).
David M. Svec is a practicing attorney from Westchester, IL. He has been a general practitioner for over 30 years and works with families who are interested in drafting wills, trust, and powers of attorney for both property and health care. He will inform participants of the needed legal documents necessary to carry out the end of life decisions of a loved one.
