Micah is a graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He joined the St. Peter staff in August 2007 as the Outreach Pastor and was called to serve as Lead Pastor in June 2010. He is married to Sarah and has been blessed with two children, Eva and Andrew.
After serving as sole pastor at Living Christ Lutheran Church in north Arlington Heights for over 15 years, Paul has joined our team part-time to help lead our seniors and special needs ministries. He also serves part-time with Voice of Care, helping lead congregations in our area to better serve those with special needs in our communities. His wife, Julie, also serves on our staff. Together, they have two grown children, Philip and Jillian.
After served at St. Peter for over 25 years, Karl most recently served as Visitation Pastor during his retirement. He is married to Kathy and has three children and two grandchildren. Due to health conditions, Karl is no longer actively serving.
Bruce joined our staff in 2007, after having served for many years in Texas. He is married to Carol and has two daughters.
Julie has served at St. Peter since 1997. In addition to her passion of sharing Jesus with young children and their families, she also enjoys working collaboratively with the other teachers and staff at St. Peter, the Northern Illinois District, and the LCMS. She also finds joy in gardening, scrapbooking and collecting giraffes. She is married to Pastor Paul Klopke, who also serves at St. Peter as an associate pastor. They are blessed with two grown children, Philip and Jillian, who are graduates of St. Peter Lutheran School and serve the Lord as a church planter and a nurse.
Lisa joined our staff in 2013, bringing along extensive experience in middle school instruction and administration in a public school setting. She is married and has three children.
Karen has served on staff since 2007. She is married to Henry and has two grown children.
Brian joined our team in September 2015. He is passionate about resourcing and empowering the people and ministries of St. Peter to fulfill the mission. Brian previously served with Youth For Christ – Chicago, both as Ministry Director and most recently as the Director of Development. He enjoys the outdoors, basketball, goofing around with his kids, date nights, beating Pastor Greiner at golf, and attempting home improvement projects. Brian lives in Arlington Heights with his wife, Kelli, and their three children, Levi, Lydia and Jude.
Jill Schutz serves as the Director of Children’s Ministries at St. Peter. She oversees our Sunday morning children’s programs, our Summer Days summer camp, and our Extended Care program. She is a licensed teacher and has worked in Christian Education for over 20 years. She has been on staff at St. Peter since 2010. She is passionate about helping children understand God’s Word and apply it to their lives. She loves connecting kids to Christ in fun, engaging ways and partnering with parents to raise up a new generation that loves the Lord. She is married to Adam and has two sons, Trevor and Tyson. When she isn’t working, you will most likely find her cheering on her sons at a sporting event.
Starting as a DCE field work student while studying at Concordia University, Chicago, Stephanie has served various roles at St. Peter over the years. Most recently, she has focused on Kids Word (providing an age-appropriate version of the pastor’s sermon to children attending worship) and Chapel (helping coordinate the efforts of the students, staff, and volunteers that help make weekly chapel the “high point” of the school week). She is married to Josh and has three children.
Kristin is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago’s Director of Christian Education Program. She joined our team in August 2016 as the Youth Ministry Leader for Middle School and High School students. She is passionate about creating a fun, safe environment for students to tackle life’s biggest questions and fall in love with Jesus. She enjoys volleyball, hiking, spoiling her nephew, and spending time at her family farm. She is married to Zach.
